After weeks of deliberation, I finally decided to abandon the Drupal platform and go with a framework that is more niche and simpler to maintain.

Drupal is an excellent platform for managing content, no doubt about that. However, it had more features than I needed, more time needed to maintain.

Here’s a big plus with WordPress, I get to blog on the go. Very often, I have think about things on my long commutes to and from work. By the time I get home, before I have a chance to pen those thoughts and ideas, I would have forgotten them. So being able to blog with my iPhone is a deciding factor.

With this extensive revamp, I decided to abandon the few old posts I had. A handful were perhaps useful to some – based on Google Analytics reports and emails I have received – but a lot of the content was relevant then, not now. So it might do readers good not to waste time with outdated information. Hopefully in the coming weeks, the crawlers would update their search engine indexes. I will have other technical content to share.

I am back, and I hope I will be able to sustain my writings. I have a huge problem of expressing myself and I want to over come that.

Why else do I write? Last week, I watched a movie entitled “Letters to God“. It is based on a true story about a cancer-stricken boy who wrote letters and addressed them to God. The script wasn’t fantastic, but to me, had a lot of truth. Anyway, I found an answer to why I wrote. Writing give me a chance to think about what I want to say, deep inside my thoughts. If I had to speak my thoughts to a person, I will be tempted to deviate depending on the receiver’s expressions and reactions. Hope that explains.

I will focus on promoting my photographic works and hope you will appreciate them. It has been a long journey for me to come out of the closet. Also, expect to find some techie bits since that is my day job. While I work to develop on content, please feel free to browse my portfolio of images.
