Haploview is a Java application developed by Broad Institute and is used to visualise and analyse haplotype datasets. One of its key features includes a direct data link with HapMap. It is very useful for anyone studying genotypic links in disease studies, and from what I hear, co-workers at my research institute use this actively in their research.
I spent two days figuring out what had gone wrong with my simple JAX-WS web service. The service I wrote was previously deployed using Axis2 1.4.1 engine running on IBM's Websphere Application Server (Community Edition) version 1.1. However, I recently had to port my application over to version 2 and that's when problems started to surface.
The Exhibit module for Drupal specifies a minimum requirement for PHP 5.2 to function correctly, but unfortunately, my web-hosting provider only supports version 5.1.6 at this time. However, one of the main motivations for me to explore Drupal was the modules and framework to support the Semantic Web. So I tested Exhibit, RDF and OpenCalais modules and all of them appear to install and function correctly.
